Project Overview
HVAC Installation for New Restaurant Build-Out
Work Performed
Our team completed a full HVAC installation for a newly constructed restaurant, designed to meet the unique comfort and ventilation needs of a high-traffic dining environment. The project included the installation of high-efficiency rooftop units, custom ductwork for balanced airflow throughout dining and kitchen areas, and specialized ventilation systems to manage heat and odors from the commercial kitchen. We also integrated a zoned control system to maintain ideal temperatures in both customer and staff areas. All work was completed on a tight construction timeline, in coordination with the general contractor and restaurant ownership, to ensure the HVAC system was fully operational before opening day.
Challenges
- Tight Construction Timelines – Coordinating HVAC installation within a fast-paced build-out schedule to meet opening deadlines.
- Kitchen Ventilation Requirements – Designing and installing systems to effectively handle high heat, grease, and odor levels in the kitchen.
- Zoning for Comfort – Creating separate HVAC zones for kitchen, dining area, bar, and storage to maintain consistent comfort.
- Code Compliance – Meeting strict mechanical, fire safety, and health codes specific to food service establishments.
- Noise Control – Installing quiet equipment and sound insulation to maintain a pleasant dining atmosphere.
- Coordination with Other Trades – Synchronizing with electricians, plumbers, and kitchen equipment vendors to avoid installation conflicts
